Bob Banks
Bob started his business career as a staff attorney with Albertsons, Inc., after serving as the law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Idaho Supreme Court. He was promoted into a variety of management roles in the Store Development Department and retired from Albertsons, Inc. as the Executive Vice President of Store Development. His responsibilities had been for eighteen departments consisting of 1,000 employees, a $3.8 billion capital budget, the acquisitions of several companies, and the expansion of the company into the largest and most profitable supermarket and drug store in the United States. Bob also practices law with Evans Keane, LLP, helping clients translate legal talk into understandable, practical business and offering personal advice. He is a retired United States Air Force Officer and Vice-Chairman of Albertsons Federal Credit Union, now TruGrocer Federal Credit Union. Bob has served as a mentor and coach throughout his career, using his business experience and his own journey of personal growth as a foundation. He has participated in multiple development programs with Leadership Outfitters, the Monroe Institute, and Dr. David Hawkins, author of “Power vs. Force.” Bob is currently studying with the Center for Balance & Effective Communication. His coaching focuses on leadership development, change management, and team building skills, as well as aligning one’s individual values and vision with that of their professional and personal life. Bob also has served as an Adjunct Professor at George Fox University, teaching “Transformational Leadership” and “Mission and Vision” courses. His coaching insights come from real life experiences versus classroom theory. Bob graduated with academic honors with a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy; a Masters of Psychology from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX; a Masters of Guidance and Counseling from Saint Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX; a Masters of Business Administration from W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University; and a Juris Doctorate from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He enjoys being with his family, the outdoors, jogging, and basketball, while exploring life through the eyes of others and through community volunteer service.
