Expeditions Within is an innovative year-long development program designed by two leadership coaches using outdoor adventure in Montana to facilitate the learning.  It really is the last, best place!  The program meets twice over the course of a year and utilizes monthly one-on-one coaching and group coaching to help you discover the best of who you are, guiding you to breakthrough results in your professional and personal life.

Custom-designed for men by Leadership Outfitters, you won’t find a development opportunity like this anywhere else.  Expeditions Within is a one-of-a-kind Montana experience with space limited to just eight participants.  It features a transformational process that is real world, application focused and customized to your needs with the power to ignite you and your personal effectiveness.

A small group of men will embark on this journey of adventure and discovery for a year. We find that meeting in Montana, surrounded by nature, inspires us to look beyond the day-to-day activities that take up our time, and instead notice what is important in life. Our sessions are held in locations that inspire, motivate, and encourage learning and fun.  You can also expect one-on-one and group coaching support to introduce, reinforce and sustain the behavioral changes you desire.

Development Support through Coaching

To support learning throughout the year and help you implement lessons learned while in Montana, two coaching approaches have been scheduled each month, beginning in May:

1. One-on-one telephone coaching calls for one hour will be conducted with each participant each month. These individual coaching sessions will focus on the personal achievement of goals and obstacles that may arise in achieving them. All told, participants will have 12 coaching calls to use during the year. Additional coaching calls are available at an additional cost.
2. Group coaching conference calls will be held in each month we don’t meet by calling into a conference line for one hour.  Group coaching provides a forum to discuss your development with your fellow learners, while providing feedback and on-going learning with one another on what’s working, what isn’t and why.
3. Group coaching conference calls for spouses and significant others
   Throughout your growth and development over the course of a year we will conduct a one hour monthly group call for your spouses and significant others. The purpose of this call is to help those people who are near and dear to you understand the work we do, answer questions they may have, and help provide support to you at home. These calls will be led by Ris Higgins.

Your Guide

Joe Esparza, a leadership coach since 1992, is your guide for Expeditions Within.  Joe is at home in the outdoors as well as in a corporate office.  He enjoys using the beauty and power of nature to help people develop more of their potential as leaders, fathers, husbands and brothers.  Joe is not only a veteran of the corporate trenches, he's a natural leader. Throughout his life, Joe has held the position of president or vice-president in nine businesses, organizations, and boards of directors. He has strength in helping leaders connect, motivate, lead, and inspire their teams using his straightforward, no nonsense style.

He and his wife, Ris Higgins, are the owners of Leadership Outfitters, an experiential learning company headquartered in Bozeman, Montana.  This unique, personal development company serves clients who are seeking to achieve sustainable behavioral changes in their business and personal lives.

Their client list includes Kraft Foods, Capital One, Albertsons, FINRA, Houston Rockets, Chevron Texaco, Heineken U.S.A. and the Caribbean, Miller Brewing Company, and federal, state, and local government agencies.

Pricing

The cost of this year-long development program is $12,500 and includes:

• Ten days attendance at our two leadership retreats, the Power of Choice and the Power of Leadership
• Twelve 1-hour coaching sessions with Joe Esparza
• Ten 1-hour group coaching sessions with Joe Esparza
• Twelve 1-hour spouse or significant other group coaching sessions with Ris Higgins
• Ten days of lodging
